Not every RV owner wants to drive their rig across the country. You may have bought one out of state, be relocating, or simply not want the miles and fuel. Professional RV transport covers motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels, and is generally done in one of three ways.

Drive-away (motorhomes)

A professional driver drives your motorhome to its destination. For a motorhome in good running order this is often the most economical option, but it does add miles and wear to the vehicle.

Tow-away (travel trailers and fifth wheels)

A driver with a suitable truck hitches up your travel trailer or fifth wheel and tows it to the destination. The trailer's tires, brakes, lights and hitch need to be roadworthy.

Trailer transport

The RV is loaded onto a flatbed or lowboy trailer and hauled, so it adds no miles and its tires and drivetrain see no wear. This is the option for non-running RVs, high-value coaches, and owners who want zero miles added. Because of their height and width, larger RVs on a trailer are often oversize loads that need state permits.
